Move, Just DO IT
And no, we're not talking about Nike here. We're talking about that place you always wanted to live, that city you always wanted to travel to—JUST DO IT!
Recently, a good friend of mine and I had a heart to heart and my response to her was, JUST DO IT. Now, let me begin by giving you a little background info about my friend. My girlfriend is in her 30's, recently divorced, ambitious, and beautiful! She's been talking about moving since I met her 3 years ago, but has yet to go anywhere. The current company she works for is going under, so she's in need of finding a new job ASAP. She has lived in the same city for the last 15 years and just last night got a call from a company in LA offering her a new job with an amazing salary, housing in LA, and benefits. However, she's unsure of what to do?! I looked at her with that "are you serious, girl" face and told her, JUST DO IT!
Here are three reasons why Y O U should MOVE, JUST DO IT:
Home will always be home. I get it, you're leaving your friends and family, but guess what THEY will always be there for you. They're only a phone call away, better yet they're only a plane ride away. Oh, and guess what, your fam and friends can jump on a plane to see you too! So get out there and try new things, meet new people, and get outside of your comfort zone! Home isn't going anywhere, home will always be home and you can always go back if it doesn't work out.
Spread your wings and fly my butterfly. [Mariah Carey Voice] Let's not self-sabotage ourselves here and think about the 100 things that could go wrong, but let's talk about the 500 things that could go RIGHT! Yes, you're going to have to get out of your comfort zone, but guess what—life begins at the end of your comfort zone. I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but don't ever be scared to take a leap of faith. FLY BABY, FLY!
Don't let finances scare you, have faith. Excuses will always be there for you, but opportunities won't. So start saving NOW! If you need to put yourself on a budget for the next couple of months, then do so. See the bigger picture and work overtime. YOU can make this move work, and YOU will. Don't ever let money be your excuse.
If it's still on your mind, it's worth taking the risk!
