3 important things to remind your sister

As a sister, we hold a responsibility to guide and mentor our sisters. As a sister we are role models, best friends and more importantly an open book. Our job as a sister is to help each other in times of hardships, while at the same time celebrate the big victories in life.  We believe in the power of sisterhood and the strength that's formed when women support women. With that being said, here are three things you should remind your sisters today and everyday.

1. Be A Leader, Never a Follower.

In a world run by social media, I always remind my sister that what you "see" isn't always real, but usually photoshopped or rented. Living in a world where people have to flaunt their "cool" lifestyle are usually the people who feel unfulfilled looking for "followers" to validate their well being. NEVER FOLLOW this social media trend. Never follow people who feel a need to look "COOL." Instead, stay true to who you are. Set your own trends and keep your morals and values. When you become great you will then have the ability to empower others. As Steve Jobs says," Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower." So stay true to who you are and always Do YOU!

2. Take Care of Yourself. 

Put yourself first, always and forever, and I'm not saying this in a selfish sense, but in a self empowering type of way. In this crazy world we live in, it's easy to lose sight of your goals and dreams. I'm guilty in this situation because at times I've allowed relationships, friendships and family to cloud my vision. In other words, I lost myself. Always remember that in order to take care of others, you must take care of yourself first and foremost. Keep your tank full, stay on path and love yourself first girl!

3. You can ALWAYS come to me for ANYTHING!

There's not a better feeling than knowing someone you trust and love has got your back. Through it all, the good and bad, the highs and lows you can always count on your sister. Although we may disagree with you, we will always be an ear to listen. Although we 'told you so', we're thinking of a game-plan to get you out of that rut. So, at the end of the day, just know you can come to us for anything. We are sisters and I say that with the upmost sincerity. I got your back always and forever, through thick and thin!
