SECRETS TO MY SPRING TRANSITION

I don't know what in the world is going on with #mothernature over here in New England, but I'm just trying to keep up! Transitioning my wardrobe from winter to spring has been a process and a half—especially when it's sunny and in the 80's one day and then dropping to a high of 40 degrees F with rain showers for the rest of the week.

I just can't seem to win. Like ever, but that's besides the point because now I'm still going to (slowly) start to pack away my faux leopard coat and heavy sweaters and thermal-lined pants in hopes to bring forth some 'dang sunshine! To all my fellow New Englander's, we must stick together and sprinkle some spring weather dust all over! With the weather being so bi-polar, I've always gotta' have a few tricks up my sleeve to make sure my wardrobe is always on point. #wegotthis

THESE ARE MY 3 SECRETS—

on what kind of STAPLE PIECEs i'm making sure to have in my wardrobe this spring.

  1. STATEMENT TEE's. Yes! I've always been a fan and lately I've been seeing the bombest MF tee's with the dopes minimal word phrases. You need a solid rotation of 10+ tee's and I'm not even trying to be dramatic. Quick, easy to throw on, and you can dress it up or dress it right on down. You can throw a (faux) leather jack over it or a long coat. Major versatility. Choose your cause and opt for tee's that correlate. #shopbelow

  2. UNEXPECTED SLEEVES. Omg! I #die so hard for an over-sized ruffle sleeve. Or how about an off-shoulder blouse with rouched sleeves? Or how about a bomb AF intricate bell sleeves? Or an elegant wrap and tie detail? Yes. Yes. Yes! A statement sleeve is one #major way to set your style apart from the next chicá. #shopbelow

  3. WHITE SHOES. I'm addicted. Whether it be a white platform sneaker or a chunky heel ankle bootie or a pointy-toe loafer, I NEED THEM ALL. Don't even get me started on a sleek white mule that will #takeover your shoes game all spring long. Although they may not be the easiest to keep clean (a little dirt never hurt)—a white shoe is sure to stand out and give any outfit some real good character. Current status: buy more white shoes. #shopbelow
