Next Stop| Providenciales, Turks&Caicos ROUND 2
There are some places that I never want to leave and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos is one of them. After going on our girl’s trip, I knew I would be coming back to Providenciales. This time my boyfriend and I had some time to escape, so I told him about Turks and Caicos; clear waters, powder white sand, great food- and he was sold. We went with another couple and had a blast. This trip was both relaxing and full of adventures. I would highly suggest that you visit when you have the chance! There are three things that you must do when visiting Providenciales:
- Provo Ponies
Provo Ponies is the leading horse riding company on the island, where they take you for a horse ride on the beach into the clear blue waters. This excursion has been a dream of mine! The last trip I went on to Providenciales I pleaded with the concierge to reserve a horse for me, but they were completely booked my entire vacation. This time around I made sure I made reservations before traveling to Providenciales to confirm I was going to ride a horse in the beautiful blue Caribbean waters. Luckily, this time around I was able to live my dream!
The staff at Provo Ponies is really nice and helpful. They teach you how to direct the horses and provide you with tips and guidance when riding the horse. The horses are beautiful too. When you arrive, you fill out some information along with a waiver and you're ready to go! I was able to pick my beautiful horse and her name was Dreamer. We went for a ride through the town, then onto the beach. The horses were all calm, and easy to ride. The staff guided a group of us perfectly, and the next thing I knew I was riding my horse in the Caribbean waters as they do in the movies. My dream came true!
Provo Ponies was the best experience I had on the island. I would definitely recommend you reserve your spot ahead of time, before traveling to Providenciales. Provo Ponies is affordable and worth the wait!
- Crackpot Chicken
When I travel outside of the United States I love to EAT! I love diving into another culture and experiencing their local cuisine. Crackpot Chicken is a local restaurant in Providenciales that serves Caribbean cuisine and it is INCREDIBLE. From the jerk chicken to their peas rice, to the macaroni I was beyond satisfied. The staff was pleasant and the drinks were on point. For great local cuisine, visit Crackpot Chicken and ask for Paula, the sweetest server there.
- Gansevoort on Grace Bay Beach
In my prior post about Turks&Caicos I raved about the Gansevoort and I will rave about it again! On this trip, my boyfriend and I stayed in a private villa for privacy and relaxation. However, when we wanted to get in the mix of things, we went to the Gansevoort and hung out at the pool and the beautiful Grace Bay Beach. They have a great restaurant for lunch located on the most beautiful beach. I love the Gansevoort in Providenciales – fun atmosphere, great food, amazing staff, beautiful people!
Providenciales, I LOVE YOU!
