DIY: IS Antiperspirant TOXIC?
Is your deodorant toxic?
Antiperspirant, also known as deodorant, prevents the body from "purifying toxins" which when trapped, find their way into the lymph nodes, where they contribute to cellular changes that could possibly lead to cancer. Antiperspirant has also been linked to Alzheimer's Disease. Ladies, from me to you, PLEASE go to your bathroom right now and check for the following ingredients in your deodorant:
- Aluminum
- Parabens
- Propylene glycol
- Triclosan
- Steareths
If there are any of these ingredients in your deodorant please replace with an all natural alternative. You can find all natural alternatives at whole foods, Target and other health conscious stores. Here are a couple of great online stores I often shop at: Schmidt's Natural, The Honest Company, and Primal Pit Paste.
I like to mix it up! Here are some approved deodorants that I use that won't cause harm down the line...
